The Diocese of Bridgeport witnessed the installation of its new Bishop, The Most Reverend F.J. Caggiano on September 19, 2013.  This step fills the vacancy left by Bishop Wm.E. Lori in May, 2012 when he became the archbishop of the Baltimore archdiocese.

Since Our Lady of the Springs is a diocesan congregation, we have a special relationship with the Bishop of the Bridgeport Diocese.  We welcome Bishop Caggiano with our prayers and good wishes for a blessed tenure in our diocese.

 

His concern for education complements our particular focus in service.  He has served as a pastor, a teacher, a professor, and the Vicar for Evangelization & Pastoral life in the diocese of Brooklyn. He holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy, a master in Divinity and a doctorate in Theology.
