"The vow of obedience enables one to hear the voice of God channeled through very fallible human beings. The vow requires one to be mature, receptive, flexible, attentive and responsible. The Sister is able to be gracious when accepting decisions especially when not of her own choice and/or likes. When in the exercise of this vow, it will serve one well to keep in mind Mary's acceptance of God's will throughout her entire life and Jesus' fulfillment of His Father's will."
